"Math has always been confusing for me -- SAT math, in particular, tended to leave me reeling. But Stephen made math less of a strange, ominous haze, instead transformed it into a subject straightforward and comprehensible. He accomplished what all teachers strive to do: paving the way to student achievement. Of course, I'm grateful to Stephen not only for my scores, but also for the cheer and good fun he brought to what should have been a dull few months of studying. He livened up the room, the subject, and the summer with his charming and upbeat humor."

"I am very fortunate to have had Mr. Park as a teacher multiple times, because his enthusiasm and his dedication to mine and my classmates' success is truly astounding. Without his guidance and his lessons, I would never have been able to receive a perfect score in math on the SAT. His good-natured personality provided a very fun and supportive learning environment that allowed me to thrive."

"As a student who has been in multiple of his classes, my experiences with Mr. Stephen Park have been absolutely wonderful. He is very knowledgeable about both test material and test strategies, and he presents information in an engaging manner. He genuinely cares about his students and is always there to answer any questions his students have. Test prep has been positive, effective, and even fun with Mr. Park and I could not have asked for a more dedicated and professional teacher."

"I have always found Mr. Park to be extremely helpful throughout my preparations for the SAT. He is clearly very knowledgeable about the subject material and is able to communicate that knowledge in a clear and concise manner; he is very good at breaking down seemingly-difficult problems and explaining the concepts behind them so that students can easily understand how to solve them. I appreciated his emphasis on the process of problem-solving as opposed to simply having students memorize unnecessarily long lists of formulas and numbers. I also found his test-taking strategies to be advantageous not only on the SAT but also on many of the major tests I have taken during my junior year of high school, including both the AP Physics 1 and AP Calculus AB exams. Mr. Park's dedication towards teaching is made clear by the way he interacts with his students; he is very approachable and always makes time to answer any questions that his students may have. He always strives to maintain an engaging classroom environment, and he formats his lessons so that students of any skill level can benefit from them. He is an incredibly kind and understanding individual, and I am grateful to have had the opportunity to be his student."

"Taking math classes under the instruction of Stephen Park made me extremely prepared for whatever the Collegeboard was going to throw at me. When test day came around, I found myself muttering, "RCQ, don't forget to RCQ." (Stephen had taught us to "re-check the question" to make sure that we had answered it correctly) Even in my math classes at school, I am able to apply skills learned from Stephen's classes. All in all, my experience as his student was filled with humor from his bad jokes, as well as lessons on useful tips and tricks to master any standardized tests, and I would highly recommend his instruction to any student striving to boost their scores."

"Stephen's SAT math classes were always ones filled with laughter, cow puns, and encouragement, despite the rigorous algebra quizzes he'd put us through. Stephen teaches with ease, always maintaining a classroom atmosphere with warmth and encouragement. Part of what makes him such an effective teacher is his kindness; it's easy to approach a teacher with questions when he's as passionate and empathetic towards his students as Stephen is. For me, SAT math never came easily, but with Stephen's tutelage, I managed to raise my score from 680 to 800 by the end of his course."

"Mr. Park was one of the best teachers that I had during my test prep experience. He taught me how to master every single topic that would be on the test, but did so in an entertaining way that kept my attention and prevented me from dozing off through the myriad of lessons. Watching him do pushups because I got a perfect math score was definitely one of the most satisfying moments during my experience, even though I was the one who had to do pushups most of the time. He explains the subjects with clarity and fun examples, always making sure that everyone understands before he moves on to new topics. Overall, Mr. Park not only pushed me to get the best score I could, but also made what seemed to be another boring math class into a fun experience."

"Every math teacher can bring knowledge and experience to his students, but Mr. Park was unlike any other math teacher I've had before as he also brought energy and motivation to the classroom. Not only did Mr. Park help me hone my skills as a student through his carefully planned instruction, but he also made the process fun--so much so that I sometimes forgot I was in a classroom. I think Mr. Park is more than capable of not only improving any student's test scores, but also helping students discover their latent love for math."

Joe Sun Del Norte High School, Class of 2016 / UC Berkeley

"Mr. Park made my SAT experience so much better than I could've imagined. I'm not a huge fan of math, but he somehow made math class fun and motivated me to do my best. Whether it be through his "bad" jokes, angry bird push-ups, or constant reminders to "RCQ", he always kept the class engaged and ready to learn. Very approachable and always willing to help, and Mr. Park made it a point to make sure that we knew that we could bring our questions to him at any time. A reluctant SAT student in June, as the summer progressed, I began to look forward to classes and eventually scored way beyond what I had ever thought possible."

Esther Kim Torrey Pines High School, Class of 2017

"When I started math with Mr. Park, I didn't expect my math score on both the SAT math and SAT subject II to jump so high. I didn't expect to actually enjoy the curriculum. I didn't expect to learn so much through the course. However, all of this happened: My scores sky-rocketed, I had fun, and learned so much under Mr. Park. You can see that math isn't just a subject for Mr. Park, but a passion, and his excitement for the subject is contagious. Aside from being a great teacher, I would say Mr. Park is an even greater person, and it's so rare to find someone that will always be there to answer and help you through anything, from answering a difficult math question to giving advice on what watches look good."
